The requirement to serve your spouse doesn’t end after you’ve served a copy of the divorce petition—you must continue to serve your spouse with a copy of everything you file in court. If, by chance, you cannot find your spouse, the court will have no other options until you have proven all the possibilities of serving your spouse. There are additional options if your filing motion and affidavit have been unsuccessful.
